A Mercedes Benz luxury bus service between Bihar and Jharkhand with GPRS, TV and WI FI facilities would hit the roads formally from December 12.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday(10 Dec 2011) flagged off the luxurious Patna-Jamshedpur Mercedes bus service launched by the Bihar State Road Transport Corporation (BSRTC) in an ongoing attempt to improve travel within and outside the state.

How much it cost:
The luxury buses each costing cost Rs 1.20 crore would run between Patna and Tata, Ranchi and Gaya and would be expanded further in the near future,

Fare/Charges :
The introductory fare for Patna-Ranchi trip has been set for Rs. 495, Patna-Tata for Rs. 695, Gaya-Ranchi for Rs. 310 and Gaya-Tata for Rs. 350. Later, rates will go up by 50 to 100 rupees depending on the destination.
